A new series of powerful speaker cabinets from HK Audio, SONAR delivers professional sound quality at a very appealing price. It combines state-of-the-art features such as a remote control app, Bluetooth 5.0 with True Wireless Stereo, sound modes and user-friendly cardioid mode with the audio expertise born of HK Audio’s many years’ experience. A remarkably affordable gateway system, SONAR opens the window to the world of sound reinforcement systems for newbies, yet it is sophisticated enough to meet professional demands. 

This new line features three active fullrange speakers housed in robust multifunctional polymer enclosures engineered for handling ease. Equipped with powerful electronics and a highly efficient woofer in a low-resonance wood cabinet, the powered SONAR 115 Sub D subwoofer delivers impressive bass performance. The steel front grille covering the entire front lends SONAR an extravagant visual touch.

SONAR 115 Sub D is a powerful, state-of-the-art powered subwoofer for extending the bass response of SONAR full-range models, but also many other types of speakers. The 15" high-performance woofer, the 1500-watt power amplifier and the meticulous HK Audio acoustic engineering guarantee an impressively powerful bass experience.

SONAR 115 Sub D is controlled by a 24-bit DSP with an illuminated LCD screen, which can be used to conveniently adjust the crossover frequency, polarity and any delay. One particularly remarkable feature is the easy-to-use, highly efficient Cardioid function, which up to now has only been available in much higher priced subwoofers. Thanks to the two pre-configured CARDIOID FRONT and CARDIOID REAR presets, to effectively minimize unwanted emission of low frequencies to the rear.

High-quality, user-friendly cabinet design

Subwoofers in this class often need to be transported and set up alone. Our developers have therefore taken care to make SONAR 115 Sub D as light as possible without compromising on sound and have equipped it with the tried-and-tested multi-grip handles from our Professional series. What’s more, SONAR 115 Sub D is also equipped for the installation of rollers.
