Mustamäe Hobby School (formerly known as Mustamäe Children's Creativity House) offers students aged 4-19 the opportunity to acquire and develop skills in music, dance, art, and technical subjects. In 2023, Mustamäe Hobby School moved into a brand new building, and Progear had the wonderful opportunity to be part of the completion process of the hobby school.

LIGHTING
- It was important for us that there isn't a permanent lighting technician on site, so the events are carried out by people without technical backgrounds. Therefore, we implemented a two-tiered lighting control system.
- The simpler version of lighting control can be managed from the Visual Productions B-Station2 button control panel. It controls the hall lighting and the motorized curtain. The two-tier control with B-Station2 is made possible by Visual Productions QuadCore, which plays light shows, static scenes, and dynamic effects. QuadCore also easily records external light shows. Together with the B-station 2 control panel, it is easy and convenient to use, even without deep knowledge of lighting. Thanks to the Visual Productions B-Station 2 panel and QuadCore controller, the entire lighting control can be taken over by a lighting console without any additional actions.
- The entire stage is illuminated by Chauvet Professional lighting park. For front lighting, we used extremely quiet yet powerful Ovation F-265WW motorized zoom fresnel lights. Besides the fresnel lights, we also used Chauvet Professional Ovation E-910FC for front lighting, which is a quiet yet high-performance profile spotlight with full RGBA-Lime color mixing and color temperature presets from 2800 to 6500 K.
- For seamless stage lighting, we used Ovation CYC1 FC lights with a uniform and soft beam, fully convection cooled, making it an extremely quiet fixture. Ovation Cyc 1 FC uses the same RGBAL color mixing system as other Full Color Ovation lights. For the stage backlight or counterlight, we also used quiet, capable COLORdash Par-Quad 18 LED projectors with beautiful pure color shades. Since choir microphones hang on the stage, it was very important to use quiet lights to minimize buzz reaching the microphones.
- For stage lighting rigging, we used PROTOS VOYAGER S+ D8 truss lifting motors and superb Admiral Staging Snake cable coils. The main advantage of these coilers is the abundance of joints, which minimizes swaying of the trusses during movement, and they are also easy to install.
SOUND
- Speaker system: We used HK Audio speakers. We chose HK Audio Linear 5 LTS speakers and HK Audio L Sub 4000 subwoofers, which provide deep and clear bass sounds and allow for a true musical experience. For monitors, we selected active Linear 3 speakers.
- Amplifiers: We equipped the sound system with Lab-Gruppen DSP amplifiers, ensuring powerful and clear sound distribution.
- Sound control: The sound console is an Allen & Heath SQ5 digital mixer along with an Allen & Heath DX168 digital stage box.
- Connections: All connections between the sound console and the stage box are easily patchable from a Caymon 42U rack. This allows users to make necessary connection changes quickly and easily, according to the sound technician's preference.
- Radio microphones: We used Sennheiser EW-D 835-S SET radio microphones, offering reliable wireless connection and clear sound quality. These radio mics ensure performers' freedom of movement and excellent sound while being easy to use.
- Handheld microphones: We used Shure Beta58 handheld microphones, known for their excellent sound quality and durability.
- Hanging choir microphones: We chose Audio-Technica ES933C hanging choir microphones. These microphones are easy to install and allow the sound technician to amplify choirs or actors without the need to install individual microphones
In addition to the large hall, we installed sound and video solutions in the classrooms and studio technology with necessary equipment and software in the studio.
