The Viimsi Artium, a modern, open, and interdisciplinary cultural and educational center, is where performing arts, classical, jazz, pop, and rock music, art, film, science, and education converge. The center, characterized by its Nordic architecture, blends various cultural fields with international, national, and community dimensions. Progear had the wonderful opportunity to participate in the completion process of Viimsi Artium.

Design and Implementation
Under the visionary guidance of Aivar Mäe, we collaborated with other companies to realize his innovative ideas for Viimsi Artium. Our solutions were geared towards flexibility, with no fixed technical positions or wiring infrastructure within the halls. Technician workstations can be set up almost anywhere within or across the halls, all interconnected using Cisco networking devices.
Leveraging DANTE's capabilities, the sound system across the network allows seamless audio transmission and control within and between halls. This flexibility is enhanced by Yamaha mixing consoles, which enable halls to be acoustically combined or operated independently.

Stage Management Communications
The stage manager’s communication system relies on a networked setup, where Green Go devices can be remotely managed, assigning roles and controlling communications as needed. Technicians can quickly adapt the system to meet specific requirements. Stage managers also use Glensound's DANTE-enabled announcement speakers to direct announcements to specific rooms or to provide performers with ambient sound feedback from the halls.
Sound System in the Main Hall
For the main hall, which hosts classical music performances requiring specific acoustic conditions, we installed HK Audio's Si-series system. These discreet column speakers, mountable on walls or ceilings, were chosen to remain unobtrusive and meet the stringent acoustic requirements.
Lighting Solution
The lighting solution features multi-level control: basic house lighting operated via wall switches, stage management controls via touch-sensitive panels, and technical operations via dedicated lighting consoles. This setup uses Visual Productions' devices to automate and streamline usage, preventing unintended interactions across the system.
General Hall Lighting
For general lighting, we installed Chauvet Professional Ovation H-55 fixtures, achieving optimal luminosity and smooth dimming from 0-100%, with individual control capabilities to create different sections and atmospheres for events. The event-specific lighting includes moving heads, profiles, fresnels, cycloramas, and spotlights from Chauvet Professional.
